Holiday Decor Storage

One of the best things about the holidays is the beautiful decor. One of the worse, can be putting it away!

The good news is that this is the perfect time to organize! From ornaments to serving plates, we have a few holiday storage tips to inspire your next project.

Ornament Storage

Safely store ornaments with a 32 compartment drawer organizer. We layer with tissue paper and chose a linen storage box (about half the size of an attic storage box). Iron-on vinyl labels were applied to the lids of each box. We also found that this same storage option could be inserted into elfa storage drawers.

Wreath and Speciality Storage

We tossed the oversized storage bins and opted for the weathertight totes. Not only are they easier to carry up and down from small storage spaces, they also provide a clear view of the contents.

For pillow and blanket storage we used a clothes storage organizer with a clear window to give a view of the contents. To maximize space we used space saver vacuum storage bags.

We created extra hanging space for holiday wreaths by installing gladiator track systems. Hanging wreath bags keep items off the ground and safely stored.

Entertaining & Serveware

Hidden cabinet space that is typically harder to access for everyday items can be a perfect space to store holiday mugs, platters and serveware. To maximize vertical space, consider using adjustable pan organizers for platters and plates.

The Wrapping Station

We’ve got four options for planning the perfect station for your space—they’re organized in order of simplest and least expensive to most elaborate and more of an investment. No matter the size of your space, a wrapping station is a quick and easy way to maintain order over the holidays. You’ll save time and money knowing exactly what you have, where it is and when you need to restock.
