The Allendale Abode Home Tour
Is there anything better than a waterfront view? Our team headed to Allendale county in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, to work on a dreamy kitchen and pantry setup for our client’s custom-built home.
Every square foot of the house was designed with meticulous attention to detail, so we used thoughtful, functional decor and strategic zone planning to create a space worthy of such a gorgeous home.
HERE’S WHAT WE DID:
Consulted during the construction phase to ensure all built-ins made the best use of space and function
Sourced products and functional decor to create perfect-fit organizational solutions
Got creative with deep pantry drawers to create the ultimate baking, storage, and entertainment hub
A Fresh Start
Our clients were started from scratch with kitchen supplies and everyday essentials, so we sourced everything they needed to have a ready-to-use kitchen.
By learning the family’s daily routines and preferences we were able to fully stock their home with the everyday essentials. From coffee pods to trash bags, the Graceful Spaces team had this family covered!
Bamboo inserts throughout connect separate zones.
Functional decor, like these salt and pepper mills (shop alternative option here) and oil cruet from Megan Molten, add pops of character while maintaining the serene feel of the space.
DID YOU KNOW? Our Fresh Start package is the perfect way to ensure everything you need is in place from day one in your new home. We also provide checklists for all our clients to help them inventory their belongings and identify overlooked necessities.
The Perfect Pantry
We were lucky enough to tour the space as it was being built, consulting with the owners and tradespeople to ensure the built-ins would anticipate our client’s every need.
Initially, the pantry had a lot of deep cabinets, which we swapped out with more pop-out drawers to accommodate everyday ingredients, snacks, and entertaining supplies.
An adhesive organizer bin (perfect for instantly creating storage in any space) on the inner pantry door was the best solution for storing bag clips, while turntables and can risers made the most of the deep cabinet space.
Pantry Zones
We combined broad and micro categories to create the perfect zones for this Charleston pantry. Snacks were kept tidy in small Home Edit canisters, snug enough to prevent the contents from looking sloppy as inventory went down.
Broader categories like baking and entertainment were housed in our go-to expandable organizer or baskets and larger bins. Higher-up drawers were reserved for less frequently used items and overflow.
Keeping the Flow
Categorizing your things is just one element of what we do at Graceful Spaces. To create the ultimate cooking and entertaining zone, we planned how our clients would use the kitchen and pantry every day.
A cooking zone and spice drawer flank the stove area, while go-to entertaining supplies for the pool were situated close to the deck door.
Little touches like keeping Instapot recipes on the inside door of the appliance cupboard ensured the space would function as beautifully as it looked.
