Introducing our most ambitious Fresh Starts project yet, The Modern Muse, spanning over 11,000 square feet and meticulously curated by our Austin team members from top to bottom. From its early construction phase, the Graceful Spaces team joined forces with Clare Kennedy Interiors to ensure every square inch of this magnificent home reflects the family's essence. Together, with Clare's signature organic-modern and European-inspired aesthetic, we've tailored every detail to perfection.

The Modern Muse stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence, showcasing the culmination of passion, skill, and dedication in every meticulously crafted detail.


The Fresh Starts Experience

The Modern Muse is a masterclass in creating a genuinely turn-key experience through our Fresh Starts service. Since pioneering the concierge offering in 2020 during a client project, Graceful Spaces has raised the bar for how organizers can provide the highest customization and service for clients looking to outfit their homes before moving in. And while we've inspired our industry to think outside the box, our streamlined process and elevated approach ensure we continue to set the standard with every project.

Under the direction of our Product & Special Services Manager Devon Yeoman, our Product Design Team identified, sourced, received, delivered, and placed over 4,500 individual everyday essentials and functional decor for the Modern Muse.

We left no corner of the Modern Muse untouched, or, as Devon puts it, “the only thing the family needed to bring with them was their suitcases."

Our Approach in Action

WHAT WE DO: Begin every project with an in-depth Product Design Meeting, where we spend hours discussing our client's vision and compiling an inventory of current belongings, design, colors, textures, preferences, and environmental considerations.  

WHY WE DO IT: Rooting our design and organization decisions in the goals and preferences of our clients ensures our systems will be successful and sustainable. For this project, Devon and her team met with our clients on three separate occasions to go over every single space in the home. She created a mood board for Fresh Starts items and home-organizing products to see how everything would work together and identify any gaps in the projected inventory. After that, our Product Design Team spent months finding unique items tailored to our client's traditional, clean aesthetic–and our client loved knowing our team could "read her mind" and save her months of scouring stores on her own to capture the look she wanted for each space. 

WHAT WE DO: Think beyond Target and Amazon (although we love to shop there, too) to find bespoke, refined pieces that make our clients' homes feel one-of-a-kind. 

WHY WE DO IT: Sourcing items for our clients is a labor of love. We're so invested in connecting our clients with upscale, quality brands that we employ a full-time Product Design Team (led by the amazing Devon Yeoman) to stay apprised of emerging trends, brands, and unique opportunities so we always have a rich pool to draw from when curating a home. Our clients expect the highest quality of products and services, so we work hard to create a fully customized experience.

WHAT WE DO: Create transitional zones like Return to Owner, Donate, and Put Away bins. 

WHY WE DO IT: Suppose you need to show your home in 48 hours. Our approach to zone planning gives everything a home, empowering your family to help you prepare and have the place looking magazine-worthy and spotless in no time. When everything has a reset, maintenance becomes an easy habit instead of a dreaded list of daily chores. Did the kids leave their stuff everywhere before school? Put the clutter in their stair basket or other transitional zone so they can tackle it on their reset day. Did a guest forget something at your house? Leave it in your Return to Owner bin. Our process makes it easy for parents and busy clients to enjoy a beautiful, clean home without needing to address every problem in the moment, helping family members build lasting habits and giving everyone peace of mind!

Product Design

How do we deliver a detailed, heavily curated service like Fresh Starts? Devon, our Product and Services Manager, works hard to stay on top of new trends in organizing and home decor, giving our clients a true luxury experience. 

Organization

Our team members are selected for their passion for hospitality and unwavering commitment to mastery of detail. The Austin and Charleston teams are staffed with full-time, professionally-trained organizers so that you can expect the same level of expertise and service from project to project. 

Leadership

In addition to our teams of full-time Professional Organizers, we have a six-person team in our main office that oversees every touchpoint of the Graceful Spaces experience. Having a core leadership team to be a trusted resource for employees and clients keeps every project on track and up to our high standards.

The Kitchen

What do you get when you pair a modern, clean design with timeless kitchenware and functional decor? A Pinterest-perfect family kitchen. Our client's vision for the space was to eschew anything super trendy in favor of classic pieces with a soothing neutral color palette. We worked with her to curate a robust and versatile collection where items could work both indoors and outdoors, feeling just as at home at a dinner party as they would at a weekday family meal. 

FOR THE KIDS

It was important to our client that her four children could be independent during meals and snack time. Our organizers designated two lower drawers at kid height to hold the kids' glasses, dishes, and tupperware—all shatter-proof, leak-proof, and made with durable materials. We adore these drinking cups (Stojo), which feature pull lids with removable straws. To the left, we added plastic cups and sippy cups (Mushie). We stocked collapsible snack containers (Stojo) and kid-friendly dishes in the lower drawer. Our team used four primary colors for the Stojo products throughout to help the kids keep track of their individual items without needing to rely on labels, choosing additional dishware in a mushroom color to keep with the overall kitchen palette. 

WHAT’S COOKING?

The area on either side of the stove is prime real estate for cooking supplies, so we kept things simple and elegant with silicone, wood-handled cooking utensils (Crate & Barrel), nestled in matching wood drawer dividers. Functional decor like the knife set (Amazon) and gold salt and pepper mills (Lulu and Georgia) add pops of character to the space. For spices, we used our favorite brand, The Spice House, which channels the streamlined and clean look our client wanted for the space. 

EVERYDAY ZONES

In the kitchen, getting the everyday zones right from the start is essential for simplifying routines and streamlining tasks. By strategically placing utensils and everyday dishes within easy reach of the dishwasher, we minimize the steps needed to complete daily tasks. This thoughtful approach not only saves time but also enhances the overall flow and functionality of the space.

Elevated Details

The Modern Muse was so thoughtfully curated, ensuring that the vision for the home was executed in every single detail— down to the chip clips. Acrylic food wrap and baggie organizers were paired with bamboo drawer dividers to maintain a visually clean and organized aesthetic. The Pantry

You’ll find many of the usual suspects in The Modern Muse pantry, from acrylic bins and canisters that provide visibility to turn tables and wood drawer dividers that maximize space. But what sets this project apart is the sheer amount of customization and curation—our Fresh Starts team was responsible for every aspect of the space, down to the last coffee bean. 

KEEPING CAFFEINATED 

We're obsessed with the setup for coffee and tea. Ever the thoughtful hostess, our client wanted to make this zone as guest-friendly as possible, so we stuck with open, transparent containers for sugar packets and to-go-creamers, along with acrylic labeled containers for bulk sugars. On the left, we stacked tea packets in narrow rows, making the most of the drawer space without feeling too crowded. Jars of coffee pods and decanted instant coffee and espresso round out the zone. 


WELL-ORGANIZED WELLNESS

The supplement drawer boasts a variety of our client's favorite brands like Armra, Cymbiotika, and LMNT. We maximized the shallow, deep drawer space with clear open containers, making it easy for our clients and guests to find what they need and monitor supply levels. On the shelves above the supplement and beverage drawers, we placed a gorgeous neutral-tone Vitamix and Nama juicer, coffee and tea makers, and other supplies needed to make the perfect coffee, tea, or smoothie. 

LET’S DECANT

We supplied our clients’ favorite dry goods and snacks from the local Whole Foods, decanting nuts, seeds, and dried fruits into acrylic containers with labeled lids to make finding the right snack as easy as possible. The kids love the countertop cereal dispensers, featuring a gorgeous wood tone that ties in with the rest of the kitchen’s neutral palette. Our client adores how easy it is for her kids to help themselves in the morning!


The Laundry Room

The Laundry Room in The Modern Muse is a true multipurpose room: laundry zone, dog kennel, and cleaning product hub. Through the thoughtful use of micro-categories and functional decor, we turned this busy space into a serene oasis. 

With multiple individuals using this space, including the family and house staff, it was important for the space to have very clearly labeled categories and ample back stock, which the Graceful Spaces team was happy to take care of.

FRESH AND CLEAN

We decanted the washing machine detergent, pods, and downy beads into a mix of functional decor—a large lidded glass jar and glass pump dispensers—and tall acrylic canisters for easy access. The lower drawers house supplies like stain remover, extra detergent, fabric softener, laundry sheets, and disposable cups, which our client requested explicitly for easy clean-up when dispensing the detergent. 

BUILD A BACKSTOCK

Having an overflow of cleaning supplies and other essentials is our secret to fewer trips to the store. We used long Linus bins with custom labels to keep backups of our clients' go-to products like leather conditioner, degreaser, dish soap, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner, and all-purpose cleaner. A stock list for the House Manager will ensure our clients never run out of something when they need it most. 

PAMPERED POOCH

Clare Kennedy's team outdid themselves with this beautiful dog nook. We kept to our client's neutral palette when adding to the space, incorporating toys in a muted color palette and a dark gray blanket to keep the furniture fur-free. A pull-out cabinet houses a large dog food container, while clear acrylic boxes with custom labels in the drawer above hold wipes, medicine, treats, shampoo, and travel items.
