The Graceful Process - CEO Method
Organizing an already cluttered space can seem overwhelming, but keeping it simple by breaking down the process and taking things one step at a time is the key to completing your project with grace (and your sanity intact). We have organized quite a few spaces in our time and through these experiences, we created our CEO method of organization.

This really does apply to any room, so, pick a space and Categorize, Edit, & Organize! Follow along this pantry project to see how we used our CEO method to tackle this once cluttered space …
and turn it into …
categorize
Remove everything from the space and sort contents in to categories
In the pantry: (ex. canned goods, snacks, baking products small appliances, etc)
in the closet: (sweaters, jeans, out of season, tops, skirts, etc.)
EDIT
No longer love it, use it, need it? donate it!
Throw away expired and/or broken items
Set aside everything that does not belong in the space
ORGANIZE
Arrange the empty products in your space by following the basic guidelines of each space — inspiration pieces front and center, most often used within immediate reach, and then move outward
One category at a time, start placing the contents back in
Remember to think about how YOU use the space and your own categories- there can be gray area here!
